Two day nanny role in Hook. This family are looking for a Nanny to care for a 10 month old boy on a Monday and Tuesday from 8am-6pm. Both parents work from home (although sometimes they need to be in London) so the nanny will need to be comfortable with them being around and perhaps joining them for lunch. They also have a very lovable French Bulldog, so a dog lover is important. There are no dog walking duties needed, however the dog would benefit from attention.
This role is open to someone starting their career in nannying, so long as they have a level 3 or above childcare qualification and 2 years’ experience in a childcare setting. The role focuses on planning fun, interactive play and outdoor exploration to support developmental milestones and learning.
Responsibilities- Care for a 10-month-old boy on Mondays and Tuesdays, 8am–6pm.
- Engage in age-appropriate play and learning activities, including outdoor exploration and development milestones.
- Be comfortable with the family being present at times and participate in light social interactions during the day (e.g., lunch with the family).
- Provide a loving, kind, calm, and empathetic approach; be confident, fun, and silly with the child as appropriate.
- Drive their own car if needed (fuel reimbursed).
- Be a dog-friendly caregiver, giving attention to the dog without dog walking duties.
- Level 3 or above in childcare.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
- Paediatric First Aid certification (12 hours).
- This position is a fixed-term contract for one year, with potential extension.
- Location: Hook, RG27.
- Hours: 8am–6pm, Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Pets in the home: 1 dog.
- Driving required: Yes, own car needed.
- Job Start Date: 5 May 2026.
- Job End Date: 5 May 2027 (with possibility to extend).
- Pay: £17 gross per hour, approximately £1,473.33 gross per month, £17,680 gross per annum.
All roles with children require an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, 12-hour Paediatric First Aid, and a minimum of 2 professional referees who are contactable; one must be current or last employer. Personal insurance is recommended.
