Full‑time Mother’s Help nanny role near Old Alresford, SO24. Hours are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, 11 hours per day, 4 days a week (between Monday and Friday). Days are set early by a father’s rota and may be split shift if desired. The role is a shared care position and the nanny must be confident working sole charge when needed. Employment can be either assisted or self‑employed.
Responsibilities
- Caring for a 3‑year‑old boy and a newborn baby
- Nursery pick‑up and child transportation
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks
- Assisting with settling the baby for naps, sanitising, nappy care
- Children’s laundry and keeping areas tidy
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum two years professional nanny experience, including suitable experience in caring for young babies
- Formal childcare qualification essential
- 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Enhanced DBS certificate, registered on the update service
- At least two professional referees, one a current/last employer, all immediately contactable
- Own car and driving licence
- Positive, kind, fun attitude with a ‘muck‑in’ attitude, organised and active
Additional Conditions
- Fixed‑term position until previous nanny returns (start ASAP). Possibility of extension into October.
- No heavy housekeeping duties.
- Dog: one small dog.
- Salary up to £20 gross per hour (≈£880 per week).
