Starting in September 2026, a fantastic term-time-only, live-out nanny opportunity has become available, working with a warm and professional family based in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. You will be caring primarily for a little girl aged three years. The family includes two older brothers aged 12 and 17, who live with the family 50% of the time (every other week) and require limited care. However, someone who can be a positive role model and help facilitate homework and fun activities that all three children can enjoy would be ideal.
You will be required during term time only, for 34 weeks of the year. The core hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 14:00–19:00, and Tuesday and Thursday, 09:00–19:00 (35 hours each week). You will be paid evenly across the year. The family is seeking a kind, nurturing, reliable and active nanny who will become an integral part of their household.
The little girl is active and enjoys being outdoors exploring, as well as music, sport, arts and crafts, and imaginative play. You should be proactive and enjoy finding fun activities to help keep the little girl occupied and happy and support her development.
Before collecting the little girl from school or activities, you will have time to help keep the children organised. You will support with:
- The children’s laundry
- Tidying and organising the little girl’s bedroom and play areas
- Preparing the little girl’s uniform / clothing and belongings for the following day
You will also support the parents with drop off and/or pickup for the older children’s activities when schedule permits (generally one or two activities every other week). While the family employs a weekly cleaner, help with light household tasks—such as tidying the kitchen, loading the dishwasher, or running occasional errands—would be appreciated and forms part of the role. You will also be responsible for preparing healthy, home-cooked meals.
