A friendly family of three in St Albans, Hertfordshire is looking for a kind, friendly and reliable housekeeper to help keep their home running smoothly, while also supporting with after-school care for their happy and active son, aged eight. They would like someone who can balance general housekeeping with school pick-ups, followed by caring for their son until they return from work. You will collect him from school each day and oversee any homework, as well as having plenty of fun with him.
The core working hours will be Monday to Thursday, 14.00 β 19.00 (20 hours/week). There could be some additional ad hoc hours, but these will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
Household responsibilities:- General tidying and organising around the home
- Cleaning all rooms to a high standard
- Family laundry (clothes and bedding) and ironing
- Changing beds regularly
- Putting away household shopping
- Running errands (e.g., dry cleaning, post office)
- Preparing simple family meals using a Gusto box
- Optional β simple gardening (mowing the lawn, deadheading flowers, etc)
A driver is not essential as the school is within walking distance. The family is hoping to find someone warm, trustworthy, and kind β someone who enjoys being around children and will bring a positive, supportive presence to their home.
