Starting in September 2026, a wonderful live-out nanny position has become available, working with a professional and friendly family of four in Meppershall, Bedfordshire. The family is looking for a kind, fun and reliable nanny to join their family. You will have sole charge of two happy and active children – a little girl aged six and her younger brother aged three. The children enjoy being busy playing outside, as well as indoor activities such as arts and crafts. The children attend school and nursery each day.
The hours will be term time (35 weeks) Monday-Friday, returning in the afternoon. There will be an additional two hours paid each day for nursery duties and organising the children, making their dinner, etc – this can be added onto the morning or the afternoon shift, whichever suits the nanny best. This makes a total of 40 hours each week. In the school holidays (17 weeks) the hours will increase to Monday-Friday, (60 hours). Your salary will be split evenly across the year. There could also be some ad hoc overnights and additional hours, but these will be mutually agreed separately and paid as overtime.
In the school holidays, you will be able to take the children on fun and educational day trips and activities, such as the farm, soft play, etc. You will also be able to meet up with their friends to help them to socialise, always keeping the children happy and safe. As well as collecting the children from school or their clubs, you will help to keep the family organised. This includes tasks such as general childcare, school admin, children’s laundry, keeping their bedrooms organised and tidy, ensuring they have everything they need for the next day (uniform and sports kits prepared, etc). You will also oversee and provide encouragement with homework, which is particularly important for the eldest child, as she will soon be sitting a school entrance exam.
