A friendly and professional family of four in Harpenden, Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced, reliable housekeeper to help keep their home running smoothly. They are an active family, enjoying exercising and travelling. The children are aged 16 and 14.

The family live in a beautiful six-bedroom Victorian house, which is set over three floors.

Working hours: school term time only

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
  • Six hours each day – flexible, but something like would be ideal (18 hours/week)
  • Any mutually agreed hours to be paid as overtime

The family employs a weekly cleaner, so your household responsibilities will include:

  • General tidying and organising around the home
  • Keeping on top of the kitchen between cleans (dishwasher, recycling, etc)
  • Family laundry (clothes and bedding)
  • Ironing shirts
  • Changing bedding regularly
  • Family friendly cooking and batch cooking (possible use of Gousto box)
  • Organising the online shopping order
  • Overseeing contractors (making tea, etc)
  • Running errands (e.g., dry cleaning, post office, etc)
  • Any other ad hoc tasks to keep the household running smoothly

Although not essential, if you do drive, you will need to be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.
