Starting in October 2026, a wonderful three-day opportunity has become available for a warm, attentive, energetic, and fun nanny to join a professional and friendly family in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire. The family is looking for a nanny who can stay long term and will become a valued part of their happy home.

Responsibilities

  • Care for one baby girl aged one. She has two older sisters aged four and six who will be at school; the main focus of childcare will be the baby.
  • This is a sole charge role as Mum returns to work after maternity leave. Both Mum and Dad work from home in separate offices.
  • Be available to assist with school runs when possible, with the nanny on hand if parents are busy.
  • Provide a balanced approach to development, supporting milestones with indoor activities (reading stories, singing, puzzles, imaginative play) and outdoor time (garden, walks, trips to the park or library).
  • Perform nursery duties: preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the children, keeping the children’s areas tidy, and occasionally managing the children’s laundry.
  • If driving is required, be a confident, careful driver with a clean licence; use of a car on duty is available if needed.
  • Hand over the children at dinner time so Mum and Dad can manage bath and bed routines.

Hours & Location

  • Location: Chorleywood, Hertfordshire
  • Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 08:00–17:00 (27 hours/week)
  • Flexibility for additional hours and mutually agreed babysitting; overtime paid as agreed

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum experience: Two years
  • Training: Enhanced DBS (update) and 12-hour Paediatric First Aid
  • Qualifications: Childcare qualification preferred, but relevant experience is acceptable

  • Pay: £26,676 gross per annum, with mutually agreed overtime paid at £19 gross per hour
