Starting in September 2026, a term-time-only, live-out nanny opportunity has become available, working with a warm and professional family based in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. You will be caring primarily for a little girl aged three years. The family includes two older brothers aged 12 and 17, who live with the family 50% of the time (every other week) and require limited care. However, someone who can be a positive role model and help facilitate homework and fun activities that all three children can enjoy would be ideal.
Schedule and compensation
You will be required during term time only, for 34 weeks of the year. The core hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 14:00–19:00, and Tuesday and Thursday, 09:00–19:00 (35 hours each week). You will be paid evenly across the year.
Responsibilities
- Support with the children’s laundry, tidying and organising the little girl’s bedroom and play areas, and preparing her uniform/clothing and belongings for the following day.
- Help keep the children organised before collecting from school or activities.
- Occasional support for the older children’s drop-off and/or pick-up for activities when schedule permits (generally one or two activities every other week).
- Light household tasks such as tidying the kitchen, loading the dishwasher, and running occasional errands (as part of the role).
- Prepare healthy, home-cooked meals for the children, following a meal plan if preferred, and involve the children where possible.
- Manage bathtime and ensure areas are left clean and tidy for the parents at the end of the day.
Requirements
- Confident, safety-conscious driver with a clean licence; a fully insured car will be provided for use during working hours.
- Fluency in French or Spanish would be advantageous.
- Experience of at least four years; minimum experience level for this job: four years.
- Enhanced DBS (update) and 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid.
- Level 3 childcare qualification if possible, experience essential.
Location: Buckingham, Buckinghamshire.
Pets: No, but possibly a cat in the future.
Driving required: Yes – duty car provided.
Job Start Date: September 2026.
Compensation details
Pay: £30,492 gross per annum / agreed overtime to be paid at £22 gross per hour. This is a permanent job.
