A part time daily housekeeping role has become available for an experienced person to look after the home of a friendly family of four (children aged three and one). The family live in a modern five bedroomed house in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The family is looking for someone who will be happy working alongside Mum and who would enjoy helping to keep this busy home running like clockwork. You will be needed for three days each week, for five hours each day, Monday to Friday. The days and the hours are flexible and will be mutually agreed, but something like 08.00-13.00 or 10.00-15.00 would work well.
General Cleaning
- Dusting and polishing furniture and surfaces
- Vacuuming carpets and rugs
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning skirting boards, doors, and light switches
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste
Bathroom Cleaning
- Cleaning toilets, sinks, baths, and showers
- Wiping mirrors and glass surfaces
- Replenishing toiletries (soap, toilet paper, etc.)
- Descaling taps and showerheads
Kitchen Duties
- Cleaning worktops, cupboards, and appliances
- Washing dishes or loading/unloading dishwasher
- Cleaning ovens, fridges, and microwaves
- Taking out rubbish and recycling
Bedroom & Living Areas
- Making beds and changing linens
- Tidying rooms and organising items
- Cleaning under furniture where accessible
Laundry & Ironing
- Washing, drying, and folding clothes
- Ironing garments and linens
- Organising wardrobes and cupboards
Household Management
- Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies
- Reporting maintenance issues or damages
- Running small errands if required
You should be a warm, friendly and honest person who is pleasant to have around. Although not essential, a love of children would be advantageous, to help keep an eye on the little ones occasionally, if Mum needs to run an errand.
