A wonderful part-time live-out nanny/housekeeper opportunity is available with a warm and professional family in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. The family has two active children (a girl aged nine and a boy aged six) plus two older teenagers who require limited care. The role also includes caring for a small friendly dog, which will need a short daily walk.

Responsibilities

  • General childcare for the children, including outdoor play, board games and arts and crafts.
  • Assist with household laundry, family shopping, and tidying and organising bedrooms and play areas.
  • Prepare uniforms and items for the following day and oversee homework.
  • Help with light household tasks such as tidying the kitchen, loading the dishwasher and running occasional errands while a weekly cleaner handles deep cleaning.
  • Prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals for the children according to a meal plan and involve them when possible; at the end of each day leave the areas clean and tidy.
  • Drive the children to and from school and other appointments; a clean driving licence and own car are required, and duty mileage will be paid.

Schedule

  • Tuesday 12:00‑20:00
  • Wednesday 15:00‑19:00
  • Thursday 12:00‑20:00 (20 hours total).
  • Ad-hoc additional hours and evening babysitting may be requested and will be paid as overtime.

Requirements

  • Level 3 childcare qualification preferred; at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Enhanced DBS check (updated) and 12-hour paediatric first aid certification.
  • Clean driving licence and own car; duty mileage payable.
  • Pet lover, willing to walk a small dog daily.

Compensation

£20,800 gross per annum, plus agreed overtime at £20 per hour. This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible.
