We are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join a growing Merchandising and Planning function, supporting a key product category. Reporting into the Senior Merchandiser, you will play a key role in trading, forecasting and analysis, supporting the wider team to maximise commercial performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone analytical, organised and passionate about product, looking to grow within a fast-moving retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Daily and weekly sales reporting, supporting trade analysis and identifying risks and opportunities
- Updating WSSI and line card data on a weekly basis
- Supporting forecasting and intake planning with the Senior Merchandiser
- Working closely with buying teams and suppliers to manage critical path
- Updating delivery schedules and forecasting intake into the business
- Supporting markdown and promotional planning to drive sell‑through and profitability
- Working with warehouse, ecommerce and marketing teams to ensure smooth product launches
- Supporting sustainability initiatives by embedding responsible trading and sourcing practices
- Strong Excel skills and experience with WSSI, line cards and trade reporting
- Experience in a fast‑paced retail or trading environment
- Strong numerical and analytical ability with attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A genuine interest in product and fashion retail
