Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the most exciting, fast growth businesses in the Music Industry based in Central London. This world-renowned music company is looking for a Head of Financial Planning and Insights. The company is industry leading in their value led approach to work, with a sociable and friendly team centred around a love of music adding to the workplace culture. The Role

Working within a collaborative and commercially focused finance team, this newly created position will play a key role in driving international revenue strategy and financial reporting. Reporting to a forward-thinking Director of Commercial Finance, you will act as the primary business partner to the International leadership team, ensuring that all key decisions are backed by financial insight and aligned to broader strategic goals. The role will have visibility across senior leadership, with responsibility for revenue and distribution reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial planning over both short- and long-term horizons. You will also lead and develop a direct report and work cross-functionally with teams across the business, including joint venture and external banking partners.

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional who enjoys building relationships with senior stakeholders and using data to influence strategic decisions. This is a hybrid position (2 days/week in-office) based in their Central London office.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead finance partner to the International team, providing commercial input and challenging decisions where needed
  • Support long-term strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for international revenue and distributions
  • Deliver regular financial analysis and reporting for leadership, board, and committee audiences
  • Consolidate international and joint venture revenue and distribution data across the Commercial Finance team
  • Provide variance analysis and insights for monthly leadership reporting and sign-offs
  • Business partner closely with 2 members of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Ensure budget holders are aligned with organisational priorities and provide financial rigour to planning discussions
  • Collaborate with international partners on revenue assurance, tax issues, and banking/KYC matters
  • Own the international financial element of multi-year planning and forecasting
  • Line manage and support the growth and development of one direct report
  • Continuously improve reporting processes, financial governance, and commercial decision-making tools
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the wider finance team and executive leadership

What We Need to See (Essential)

  • Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Previous experience in the media, music, or entertainment industries
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

What We’d Like to See (Bonus)

  • Previous experience in music or royalties-based businesses

Package:

  • Salary: 65,000 - 75,000 + bonus
  • Location: Central London
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days in-office, 3 days working from home (WFH)
