Harmonic are delighted to be working with a highly recognisable and market-leading digital media business in their search for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Having experienced significant growth over the last decade, the business has established itself as a leader within the digital publishing landscape, combining creativity, technology and data-driven insights to build highly engaged global audiences.
As the business continues its growth journey, they are looking to strengthen their technical accounting and reporting capability through the addition of a newly created Senior Financial Reporting Accountant position.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, this newly created role will play a key part in supporting the group's financial reporting, technical accounting and audit processes. The position has been created to support the continued growth of the business and provide additional capacity across audit, reporting and technical accounting activities. The successful candidate will become a key contact for external auditors whilst working closely with senior stakeholders across the finance function.
Duties
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, supporting audit preparation, coordination and query resolution.
- Support the delivery of month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Prepare technical accounting papers, accounting models and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of group accounts and statutory reporting requirements.
- Produce internal finance reporting packs for senior leadership teams.
- Support the preparation of Board and CFO reporting packs.
- Assist with payroll accounting, leasing accounting and Employee Benefit Trust reporting.
- Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement projects, including ERP implementation initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve reporting processes and controls.
- Coordinate reporting workstreams during peak periods including audit and month-end close.
