Finance & HR Assistant (Part-Time - 3 Days Per Week) | PR Agency | Central London

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a dynamic and fast-growing agency in Central London that's on the lookout for a highly organised and proactive Finance & HR Assistant to join their collaborative team. This is a part-time role (3 days per week)-ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to build their experience across both finance and human resources within a creative, people-focused business.

This role plays a key part in keeping the day-to-day operations running smoothly, supporting both financial processes and HR administration. You'll work closely with senior finance staff and liaise directly with internal teams, helping ensure accuracy, compliance, and a great employee experience.

Finance Support:

  • Processing and reconciling invoices, staff expenses, and credit card transactions
  • Supporting weekly payment runs and managing supplier queries
  • Assisting with client billing and chasing outstanding payments
  • Preparing reconciliations and supporting financial month-end processes
  • Helping with payroll data preparation and responding to basic payroll queries
  • Assisting with the allocation of costs to client projects and tracking budgets

HR & People Admin:

  • Handling onboarding and offboarding tasks including contracts, references, and induction scheduling
  • Keeping employee records up to date on the HR system and across internal files
  • Administering leave tracking and employee benefits
  • Supporting recruitment processes, scheduling interviews, and managing job postings
  • Acting as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR and finance-related queries
  • Coordinating internal training logistics and maintaining training records
  • Supporting compliance with employment policies and legal requirements

What We're Looking For:
* 1-2 years of experience in a finance or combined finance/HR support role
* Comfortable with basic accounting tasks and principles (e.g., reconciliations, accruals)
* Proficient in accounting tools like Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
* Confident Excel user (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Trustworthy, with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally
* Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a willingness to get involved

Desirable:
* Prior experience in a creative or agency-style environment
* A basic understanding of UK employment law

Salary: up to Β£32K pro rata

Start Date: ASAP
