This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established yet entrepreneurial business in a broad and highly visible role, reporting directly into the Finance Director. This role has come about due to continued international and UK expansion. Our client has grown significantly over the years and now operates over 50+ sites globally, spanning UK, EMEA and APAC region. Their success has been built on an uncompromising focus on product quality and a strong brand identity, with ambitious plans to continue scaling both domestically and internationally. With a growing retail footprint and increasing operational complexity, this hire will play a key role in strengthening the finance function and supporting the business through its next phase of growth. The culture is dynamic, hands‑on, and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on ownership, continuous improvement, and commercial thinking. The London‑based head office team is relatively small, offering plenty of exposure and the opportunity to make a tangible impact.
The Role
This is a broad Assistant Management Accountant position with end‑to‑end ownership of the finance function for the UK retail entity.
- Ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations including AP, AR, supplier and expense management
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with variance analysis
- Ownership of month‑end processes including accruals, prepayments, stock, and fixed assets
- Balance sheet reconciliations and production of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Support the Finance Director with budgeting and forecasting
- Supporting commercial decision‑making through analysis and reporting
- Assisting with year‑end audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Supporting ad‑hoc projects such as product mix and performance analysis
What our client would like to see
- Currently studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Minimum 18 months experience in a finance role, ideally within an SME or multisite or retail environment.
- Experience of month‑end processes and management accounts preparation
- Strong Excel skills
- Proactive, hands‑on approach with a strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
Salary ÂŁ40,000 - ÂŁ45,000 + study support
Location Central London (predominantly office‑based)
Holiday 25 days + bank holidays
