Accounts Assistant (Entry Level) | Advertising Agency | London
Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, independent media & advertising group on an entry level Accounts Assistant position.
With a headcount of around 120 employees and annual revenues exceeding £30 million, they deliver bespoke audio and media solutions across radio, podcasting, digital audio, and emerging media platforms.
The Role
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, looking to gain hands-on experience in a commercial finance team within the media industry.
Reporting into the Finance Manager and working closely with the wider finance and operations teams, you will be responsible for supporting both the purchase ledger and sales ledger functions, ensuring smooth transactional processing, accurate financial records, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end processes
- Maintain and update financial records and databases
- Assist in preparing VAT returns and other compliance documentation
- Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers/clients to resolve invoice queries
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects and reporting tasks as needed
What We Need to See (Essential):
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar (2:1 or above preferred)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Confident Excel skills (pivot tables, basic formulas)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous internship or part-time experience in a finance role (desirable, not essential)
