Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth PE-Backed Consultancy business operating in their search for an experienced Interim Power BI Finance Analyst on a contract basis (Outside IR35). The organisation is looking for someone who can quickly enhance reporting capability, improve financial insight, and support the development of scalable dashboards and analytics across the finance function. This role sits at the intersection of finance, reporting, and business partnering, and would suit someone who combines strong Power BI expertise with a solid understanding of finance operations.
The Role
Working closely with Group Finance and operational stakeholders, you will take ownership of developing and improving financial dashboards, reporting outputs, and analytical capability across the business. The environment is highly collaborative and people-focused, requiring someone who is technically capable but also comfortable engaging directly with stakeholders across multiple regions and business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Power BI reporting and dashboards, delivering meaningful commercial and financial insight
- Support month-end, budgeting, and forecasting processes through improved reporting and analytics
- Develop reporting around utilisation, profitability, variance analysis, and business performance
- Improve reporting automation and streamline manual finance processes where possible
- Work with multiple data sources and systems to improve reporting consistency and visibility
- Partner with finance teams globally to understand requirements and deliver actionable reporting outputs
- Support data mapping, transformation, and reporting improvements alongside internal data teams
- Provide guidance and support to users across the business to improve reporting adoption and understanding
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of finance reporting capability and analytical insight
What We Need to See (Essential)
- Strong hands-on Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query, and visualisation development
- Good understanding of finance processes, including management reporting and financial statements
- Experience working with finance stakeholders in a commercial or analytical environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently and operating in a fast-paced environment
- Experience improving reporting processes and automating manual workflows advantageous
Day Rate: £400–£500 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: Initial 6 months
Location: London / Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
