Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the most exciting, fast growth businesses in the Music Industry based in Central London. This world-renowned music company is looking for a Head of Financial Planning and Insights.

The company is industry leading in their value led approach to work, with a sociable and friendly team centred around a love of music adding to the workplace culture. This non-corporate environment with over 500 employees offers fantastic exposure to the music industry, with a roster of some incredibly exciting and high-profile clients underpinning the success of the business. There is also an ethos of continual development stemming from senior level management, with great promotional opportunities available in the company mirrored by a low staff turnover rate throughout all departments.

The Role

This newly created position sits within a growing Strategic Finance team and reports directly into senior leadership. You'll be responsible for delivering forward-thinking financial analysis and insight that supports executive decision-making and drives long-term performance. This is a high-impact role that blends financial modelling, strategic forecasting, investment analysis, and performance reporting.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in finance strategy, M&A analysis, and executive-level reporting who enjoys working cross-functionally and at pace. You'll need to be confident navigating complex data, collaborating with teams across the business, and presenting your insights to senior stakeholders. Prior experience in designing KPIs, managing confidential investment projects, or working with joint ventures is highly advantageous.

You'll be managing a team of skilled finance managers, so strong leadership as well as stakeholder management with the Senior Leadership Team—so strong interpersonal skills and communication are integral to successfully fulfilling this role. This is a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office) based in Central London.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on the development, tracking, and reporting of financial and operational KPIs across the business
  • Deliver meaningful insights and strategic recommendations through analysis of performance trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Produce detailed financial models, forecasts, and scenario planning for executive leadership
  • Oversee investment reporting, business case evaluation, and analysis of strategic initiatives
  • Work closely with internal data and technology teams to enhance finance reporting via automation, data tools, and dashboards
  • Drive market benchmarking, valuation modelling, and analysis to support long-term strategy and pricing
  • Support leadership in evaluating partnership models, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities
  • Represent finance on strategic projects and contribute to board-level materials as needed
  • Line manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering development and accountability
  • Continuously improve reporting processes, tools, and data accessibility for better decision-making
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the CFO and Executive Team

What We Need to See (Essential)

  • Fully Qualified Accountant/Certified Financial Analyst (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA)
  • Previous experience managing a team of both senior and junior reports
  • Exposure to M&A or PE valuation methods
  • Data literacy

What We'd Like to See (Bonus)

  • Previous experience in the Music or Entertainment industry
  • Exposure to TM1 or other data analysis, dashboard building, or automation software

Package:

Location: Central London
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in-office, 3 days working from home (WFH)
