Client Harmonic is excited to be working with a highly impressive Series A SaaS business based in London. Having already scaled rapidly yet incredibly sustainably and built a customer base, this company has demonstrated rare commercial discipline and genuine product-market fit. Following a significant Series A raise from a leading growth equity investor, the business is now entering an exciting next chapter, scaling its go‑to‑market, expanding internationally, and building out the operational infrastructure to support rapid growth.
The VP of Finance will report directly to the CEO and sit at the heart of every significant business decision. This is emphatically not a role defined by running the books. It is a role defined by accelerating the business, bringing rigour, commercial insight and a clear point of view to the questions that matter most: where should capital be deployed, what does the path to ambitious ARR targets look like, and what story are we telling investors? The successful candidate will assess the current finance function and shape it, owning the structure, tooling and team required to support a high‑growth, investor‑backed business.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the CEO’s primary financial thought partner; challenge commercial assumptions, frame investment decisions, and bring forward‑looking perspective to every significant business decision
- Own the multi‑year financial model as a living tool to inform go‑to‑market investment, headcount planning, pricing strategy and product roadmap prioritisation
- Lead on deal structuring, ensuring the commercial model is optimised for growth and unit economics
- Manage and grow investor relationships and play a leading role in future fundraising events
- Define the core SaaS metrics framework, working cross‑functionally with Sales, RevOps and tech to ensure eyes‑on data across the business
- Own the annual operating plan, quarterly rolling forecast and monthly variance reporting, with a focus on decision‑usefulness
- Evaluate and shape the current finance function, team structure and systems to support the next phase of scale
- Ensure robust month‑end processes, statutory compliance and audit‑readiness across multiple entities
- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent; strong technical foundation with the ability to apply it commercially
- Proven track record operating as a strategic finance partner (VP Finance, Head of Finance or equivalent) within a VC‑backed B2B SaaS business
- Demonstrable experience managing VC investor relationships
- Experience navigating at least one high‑growth inflection, ideally Series A to Series B, in a role that shaped commercial decisions rather than simply tracked them
- Strong financial modelling capability: able to build and interrogate complex three‑statement models, scenario analyses and cohort analyses personally
- A history of improving the quality of financial decision‑making: better metrics, sharper models, cleaner data, stronger investor narratives
- Experience supporting international expansion or operating across multiple geographies
- Background in enterprise software
Location: Kings Cross London
Start Date: ASAP (can wait a 3 month notice)
