Harmonic are delighted to be working with a dynamic and fast‑growing TV & Film production company who are looking to recruit a part‑time Finance Manager. The business has established a strong reputation within the industry, producing high‑profile scripted content for major broadcasters and streamers. Despite their success to date, they remain ambitious, entrepreneurial, and collaborative, making this a fantastic opportunity to join a close‑knit team at an exciting stage of growth.
The Role
Working closely with the Fractional Finance Director, you’ll play a key part in keeping financial operations running smoothly across the company’s corporate accounts, development spend, and active productions. You’ll support budgeting, cost reporting, VAT, cashflow, and slate‑level reporting while also helping to maintain clear financial controls across SPVs and production entities. As part of a small and collaborative team, you’ll gain hands‑on exposure to the full lifecycle of a production—from early development through to delivery and final reporting. If you’re highly organised, curious, numerate, and excited by the blend of storytelling and finance, this role offers brilliant training, responsibility, and long‑term growth. This is the ideal role for someone with early experience in an accounting environment within TV and Film. This is a part‑time role, with 3 working days expected per week, and 1‑2 day per week in their Central London office. They can be quite flexible in regard to which days are worked/spent in‑office.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchase and sales ledgers, processing invoices, payments, and approvals accurately
- Reconcile all bank accounts and support maintenance of clear financial controls across productions and SPVs
- Track funding, cashflow, and spend across development projects and active productions
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maintain organised, audit‑ready finance documentation
- Assist with monthly management accounts, board reporting, and project cost reports
- Support statutory, contractual, and broadcaster reporting requirements
- Help maintain project budgets and cost tracking, ensuring accurate coding and variance updates
- Monitor global production incentives and financing opportunities
- Act as the internal point person for Movie Magic Budgeting (training provided)
- Manage company subscriptions and support system housekeeping
- Suggest and test improvements to financial workflows, including opportunities for automation
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance Director and wider team as needed
- Ad hoc tasks to support the Finance Director and wider business
