The Client: Harmonic is excited to be working with a standout Series A B2B SaaS business based in London. The company has built a strong and growing customer base, scaled efficiently and demonstrated genuine product-market fit well ahead of where most businesses are at this stage. Following a significant Series A raise from a leading growth equity investor, the business is now focused on accelerating its go-to-market, expanding internationally and putting the right operational foundations in place to support the next phase of growth. With momentum building and the team growing, they are now looking to bring in a Finance Director as a key leadership hire.
The Role: The Finance Director will report directly to the CEO and play a central role in how the business is run and how it grows. This is not a back-office role. The successful candidate will be a genuine thought partner to the CEO, bringing commercial rigour and strategic clarity to the decisions that matter most: how capital is deployed, what the path to the next funding round looks like, and how the business scales without losing financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the CEO's primary commercial thought partner across strategy, capital allocation and investor relations
- Own the financial model as a live, decision-driving tool across headcount, go-to-market investment, pricing and product prioritisation
- Lead on investor relationships and take an active role in preparing the business for its next fundraising event
- Define and implement the SaaS metrics framework, working closely with Sales, RevOps and the broader leadership team
- Own the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts and monthly reporting, with a focus on outputs that drive decisions
- Model international expansion economics and support market entry planning
- Assess and shape the finance function, including team structure, systems and processes, to support continued scale
- Maintain robust financial controls, statutory compliance and audit-readiness across all entities
What We Need to See:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent
- A proven track record as a senior finance leader within a VC-backed B2B SaaS business
- Experience managing institutional investor relationships and contributing to fundraising processes
- Someone who has navigated a high-growth inflection point, ideally Series A to Series B, in a role that shaped decisions rather than simply reported on them
- Strong financial modelling capability, able to build and interrogate complex models, scenario analyses and cohort analyses personally
- A demonstrable history of raising the quality of financial decision-making across an organisation
What We Would Like to See:
- Experience supporting or modelling international expansion
- Background in enterprise software
Salary: £140k–£180k + bonus + equity
Location: Central London
Start Date: ASAP (can accommodate up to a 3 month notice period)
