Harmonic is delighted to be partnering with a globally renowned post-production business, home to some of the industry's most celebrated editors and a trusted creative partner to major directors, agencies, and brands. With offices across the world, the business sits at the center of the media and entertainment world.
The team is looking for a confident Finance Assistant to manage the financial operations of the business. Ownership of AP and AR end-to-end sits with this person, along with month-end support, working with real autonomy. As a proactive self-manager, the ideal candidate will be able to identify issues, think through solutions, and flag them clearly rather than needing constant direction. Communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues, particularly production teams, comes naturally, and working well within a small, close-knit team matters just as much.
Responsibilities
- Own accounts payable end-to-end: processing supplier invoices, expense claims, and payments
- Own accounts receivable end-to-end: raising client invoices, monitoring outstanding debtors, and managing credit control
- Match purchase orders against receipts and invoices, reconcile supplier statements
- Maintain accurate ledger entries and reconciliations, including bank, employee expense, and credit card reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Support preparation of financial reports, statements, and budgets
- Assist with VAT returns and audit preparation
- Liaise confidently with non-finance departments, particularly production, to gather data and ensure compliance
- Ad hoc tasks to support the Finance Director and wider business
What We Need to See (Essential)
- Previous experience and ownership across AP and AR with an understanding of the month end process
- A proactive, self-sufficient working style; comfortable operating with minimal day-to-day oversight
What We’d Like to See (Bonus)
- Previous experience in entertainment, media, or a creative industry
