This is a highly respected fund manager with a strong international footprint and a long-standing track record of investing in film, television, and next-generation content businesses. The firm is now deploying a new, forward-looking fund focused on the evolving content economy, including technology-enabled media and IP-led businesses operating at the intersection of creativity, culture, and innovation.

Operating within a high-trust, high-ownership environment, the business is known for its intellectual rigour, collaborative culture, and long-term approach to value creation. This is a rare opportunity to join a thoughtful, ambitious investment team at an exciting point in the fund’s lifecycle.

The Role

As Investment Manager, you’ll play a central role across the full investment lifecycle for the fund — from origination and thesis development through to execution and ongoing portfolio support. This role will suit someone with strong commercial instincts, a genuine curiosity for emerging content models, and the confidence to form and defend independent investment views. You’ll work closely with senior leadership while taking meaningful ownership of deals, relationships, and strategic initiatives.

There are strong, clear opportunities for progression and growth in this role. You’ll be expected to represent the business both to their investors as well as other industry leaders—so strong communication skills and a passion or interest in the work they do within the Media and Entertainment sector is important. As a small, tight-knit team, culture is very important. They operate a non-hierarchical, team-driven environment and are looking for people who are similarly keen to join a collaborative, friendly business. The role is 4 days per week in their Central London office.

Responsibilities

  • Source and originate investment opportunities across target areas within the evolving content, media, and IP ecosystem
  • Lead end-to-end deal analysis, including market mapping, commercial assessment, and detailed financial modeling
  • Drive term sheet generation, negotiation, and execution in collaboration with senior stakeholders and legal advisors
  • Manage and coordinate structured due diligence processes across commercial, financial, product, and strategic workstreams
  • Prepare high-quality investment memoranda and present clear, insight-led recommendations to the Investment Committee
  • Act as a key point of contact for portfolio companies, supporting performance monitoring, strategic initiatives, and value creation
  • Support investor relations activity, including portfolio analysis, reporting inputs, and engagement with LPs as required
  • Contribute to fund-level planning, deployment strategy, and ongoing portfolio analytics
  • Represent the fund externally at relevant industry events, conferences, and ecosystem gatherings
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the Partners and wider business

What We Need to See (Essential)

  • 5 years’ experience in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, or a similarly rigorous environment
  • Proven experience leading deal analysis from initial assessment through to execution
  • Ability to develop and articulate clear investment theses and independent views on markets, products, and management teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging founders, advisors, and senior stakeholders

What We’d Like to See (Bonus)

  • Exposure to creative industries, technology-enabled platforms, digital media, creator economy, or IP-led businesses
  • Professional qualifications (CFA, ACA, or similar) are a bonus though not essential

Package:

Salary: £60,000-£80,000 + bonus
Working Pattern: 4 days in-office, 1 day work from home
