Harmonic are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing business in the creative industries who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant. The company partners with some of the most exciting names in the entertainment and creative sector, delivering innovative projects across multiple formats. Their work spans high-profile productions and live experiences, working alongside household-name brands, celebrities and entertainment giants. Following a successful recent fundraise, the business is entering its next stage of growth, investing heavily in its infrastructure and finance capabilities to support expansion.
They foster an environment where finance is seen as a commercial partner to the wider business rather than a back-office function. Day to day, you will be responsible for keeping the purchase ledger running smoothly, processing a high volume of invoices, managing payment runs, and keeping bank reconciliations up to date. You will work closely with the Finance Director, providing them with the information they need to make payment decisions and then executing on those.
There are significant opportunities for career progression and learning/development, with direct mentorship from a talented Finance Director.
- Performing daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, including foreign currency
- Running weekly payment runs of approximately £200k, providing the Finance Director with a clear view of what is due ahead of each run
- Chasing invoice sign-offs from budget holders twice weekly to keep the ledger moving
- Reconciling supplier statements and managing supplier onboarding, including VAT and bank verification
- Managing the staff expenses process and reconciling company credit cards
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc AR/month end tasks and reporting as needed
- Ad hoc finance administration to support the wider team
Some prior experience in an AP or transactional finance role is required, along with a genuine interest in the entertainment, creative, or media industries.
Working Pattern: 4 days per week in the office, 1 day per week working from home (some flexibility to 3 days in-office/2 days from home, with the understanding business needs may mean an added day in-office during busier weeks).
