I’m supporting a rapidly scaling consumer brand on the hire of an Interim CFO to guide the business through its next phase of growth. The company has seen exceptional momentum across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels and is now strengthening its leadership team with a commercially minded, hands‑on CFO who can bring structure, clarity, and strategic direction.
You’ll join an entrepreneurial senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, upgrading systems, and supporting operational scalability as the business continues to grow at pace.
The Role- Own financial strategy, cash management, and long‑term planning during a period of rapid expansion.
- Partner with the SLT to translate performance into clear, actionable insights.
- Lead the production of high‑quality board packs and commercial reporting.
- Support scaling across multi‑channel operations (retail, wholesale, D2C).
- Lead the transition from Xero to NetSuite (or similar), owning system selection and implementation.
- Strengthen internal controls, processes, and financial frameworks.
- Drive automation and improvements in data integrity & reporting.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership to the finance team.
- Uplift capability across the team and embed a high‑performance culture.
- Develop improved modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Support margin analysis, cost management, and pricing strategy.
- Contribute to discussions around investment, fundraising, and future expansion.
- Experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader within a fast‑growth SME.
- Proven track record in finance systems upgrades (NetSuite beneficial).
- Strong process‑builder with the ability to implement controls in a scaling environment.
- Commercial mindset and confidence working with non‑finance leaders.
- Experience managing and developing small, high‑performing teams.
- Exposure to consumer products, FMCG, retail, e‑commerce, or multi‑site environments.
- Experience with stock, supply chain, or light manufacturing operations.
