Harmonic are delighted to partner with a fast‑growing talent agency in the creative industries, looking to hire a highly organised bookkeeper. Driven by a non‑toxic culture and aiming to revamp typical industry stereotypes, the client operates a friendly, inclusive, and lively culture.

The Role

This role offers a brilliant introduction to finance within a busy talent agency environment. You’ll support the day‑to‑day running of the finance function, ensuring data accuracy, timely invoice processing, and providing internal teams with what they need.

They’re early into their insourcing process after working with an external accounting practice, so there is clear room for growth. With the right drive and curiosity, you can progress into taking on more responsibility around reconciliations, month‑end preparation, and deeper involvement in the financial side of talent and royalty income streams as the agency continues to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Enter financial data into Xero and internal systems
  • Help prepare and send client invoices
  • Support basic credit control (chasing overdue payments when needed)
  • Process supplier invoices and assist with weekly payment runs
  • Reconciling talent payments against invoices
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Support VAT return preparation
  • Liaise with agents, talent teams, and suppliers when required
  • Coordinate with external accounts team
  • Ad‑hoc tasks to support the Founder and wider business

What We Need to See (Essential)

  • Previous bookkeeping experience, exposure to financial operations in an SME
  • A passion for the creative industries!

What We’d Like to See (Bonus)

  • Experience using Xero
  • Experience in the talent, media, entertainment, or creative industries

Package

Up to £40k + benefits

Working Pattern: 1 day WFH, 4 days in central London office with general flexibility as needed, scope to reduce to 2 days WFH and 3 days in‑office after 1 year of service.

Hours: 10am–6pm
