Harmonic Executive are proud to be partnering with one of the world’s leading venture capital firms. Investing from seed through to IPO, they have backed some of the world’s most recognisable brands.
This is a pivotal role that brings together the firm’s investment teams, portfolio companies, and external fund investors. This role is to be primarily based in London (Marylebone) with semi‑regular international travel to Europe & the US.
Core Responsibilities- Engage directly with portfolio companies to gather, analyse and present data that informs investment decisions, including investment valuations as well as ongoing suitability.
- Manage the existing portfolio, ensuring valuations remain accurate and current, whilst forecasting potential returns, the probability of future IPOs and expected pricing outcomes.
- Oversee and refine portfolio monitoring tools and data management systems to ensure high quality reporting for both internal stakeholders and for fund investors to track their investments.
- Demonstrate an advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modelling, pivot tables, advanced formulas and VBA.
- Bring strong SQL capability, with experience extracting and transforming data efficiently.
- Have the ability to distil complex information and deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Possess a strong understanding of value‑creation strategies within venture capital and private equity.
- Have a broad awareness of key industry sectors and the drivers that influence their performance.
- Understand a range of business models, including SaaS and service‑led models.
- Communicate with clarity, precision and emotional intelligence, both in writing and in person.
- Confidently explain analytical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships and manage stakeholders effectively across teams and seniority levels.
Increasing involvement in the analysis of new investment opportunities and evaluation of emerging market opportunities alongside General Partners. Strong performance could lead to progression into a ‘Head of’ role and, in time, Director of the global function.
Package:£90,000 - £130,000 (flexible depending on experience) + bonus (20-30%) + strong benefits package.
Location:London, with semi‑regular international travel expected (EU & US).
