Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home, Edgware
Harmonia House is a small, homely children's residential home in Edgware, North London. We want an experienced, child-focused Registered Manager to lead it, so that every young person in our care feels safe, settled and supported to thrive.
The role:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the home and keep it compliant with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
- Register with Ofsted and be accountable for the home through inspections.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Recruit, supervise and develop a team of residential support workers.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments and record-keeping.
- Make careful referral and matching decisions.
- Work closely with social workers, local authorities, schools, CAMHS and families.
- Manage rotas and budgets.
About you:
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or close to completing it.
- At least two years' management experience in children's residential care, ideally in a home rated Good or Outstanding.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted's inspection framework.
- A calm, resilient and nurturing leadership style.
- A full UK driving license, the right to work in the UK, and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to get one).
