HarmonI provide care and support for men experiencing homelessness at the 59 bed Utility Street Hostel in Belfast.
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday morning and 4 hours on either Saturday or Sunday.
Contract: Fixed Term Contract to Friday 31 July 2026.
Working Environment: A large percentage of the homeless population is comprised of individuals who are addicted to alcohol and drugs. Many suffer from mental illness. The Cleaning Operative must therefore be prepared to work in an environment where service users may present with aggressive or abusive behaviour due to alcohol, drugs, or mental disturbance. The Utility Street Hostel does not accept sex offenders or arsonists.
About the role: We are seeking a cleaner to work alongside the Domestic Team to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming environment for our service users and staff. You will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness across various areas including bathrooms, showers, vacated bedrooms, laundry rooms, corridors and communal areas.
