Working hours: 30 hours per week (banking 24 minutes per week towards the shut down between Christmas and New Year) Harlow Council is looking to recruit a Reconciliation and Income Control Officer to join our Revenues & Benefits Team.
We are looking for a self‑motivated, professional individual with some experience of working in an income / cashier role, preferably within a Local Authority.
Ideally you would have some knowledge of the responsibilities and procedures required for the control of the collection, payment and receipt of all monies due to and from a Local Authority, including council tax, business rates, rents and sundry debts.
In addition to this, you should have good communication skills and the ability to analyse information and produce concise reports and statistical information.
You should have
- Good problem‑solving skills
- An ability to work on your own initiative
- An ability to work to a high level of accuracy and with attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel and other Microsoft products
- Experience of working on the Civica Open Revenues system, Civica Income Management system or similar software systems would be advantageous
