Harlow Council is seeking a Major Works & Dispute Resolution Officer to join our Home Ownership team. This role will be responsible for managing and delivering all statutory consultations relating to works carried out to flat blocks, ensuring full compliance and accountability throughout the process. The successful applicant will play a key role in maximising the recovery of major works costs by resolving disputes efficiently and in line with the Council’s agreed policies and procedures, while delivering a high-quality, value-for-money, and customer-focused housing service.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths, grades A – C or minimum Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a similar post.
  • Knowledge of the statutory consultation process in relation to works carried out to flat blocks.
  • Understanding of new legislation and contribute to making improvements to the service.
  • Ability to build on the successful relationships already established with customers.
  • Driving licence and own vehicle or other suitable means of transport.
