Location: Harlow Bros Long Whatton, Hathern Road, Long Whatton, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE12 5DE.

  • Hours of Work: 39 hours per week
  • Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Wood Machinist to join our team in Long Whatton.

Candidates will ideally have experience and qualifications in wood-machining, specifically operating and setting up high speed wood moulders.

Company specific training will be provided to enhance gaps in skills.

  • What you’ll be doing as a Wood Machinist
  • Setting and operating traditional wood working machines to produce batches of components required (from solid wood and from panel products) to a high-quality finish
  • Setting up and operating high speed wood moulder, (Weinig, Leadermac, wadkin etc.)
  • Experience of operating various machinery such as, Morticer, Cross Cut Saw, Spindle Moulder, six headed moulders, Planer, Thicknesser and Table Saw.
  • Quality and quantity check all orders machined, controlling output and escalating issues
  • Undertake routine operator led maintenance on machinery daily and to fill in maintenance sheets
