- Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Wood Machinist to join our team in Long Whatton.
Candidates will ideally have experience and qualifications in wood-machining, specifically operating and setting up high speed wood moulders.
Company specific training will be provided to enhance gaps in skills.
- What you’ll be doing as a Wood Machinist
- Setting and operating traditional wood working machines to produce batches of components required (from solid wood and from panel products) to a high-quality finish
- Setting up and operating high speed wood moulder, (Weinig, Leadermac, wadkin etc.)
- Experience of operating various machinery such as, Morticer, Cross Cut Saw, Spindle Moulder, six headed moulders, Planer, Thicknesser and Table Saw.
- Quality and quantity check all orders machined, controlling output and escalating issues
- Undertake routine operator led maintenance on machinery daily and to fill in maintenance sheets
- Your Skills

- Willingness to learn and develop and assist other member of the team where required
