Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: 44.5 Hours average per week worked between 07:30 – 17:00 Monday - Friday and 08:00 – 12:00 on alternate Saturdays

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated 7.5T Driver and Yard Sales Assistant to join our team in Coalville. The role’s first of two parts is to deliver goods from the branch to customers in and around the branch’s surrounding area. The second part of the role is to be part of a team of operatives that work together to maintain a safe, clean, fully functional site, offer a knowledgeable, helpful, and professional service to our customers and to undertake various duties as the individual’s skill set develops and as directed by the Yard Supervisor.

What you’ll be doing as a 7.5T Driver/Yard Assistant:

  • The role is based at the Coalville Branch and is warehouse, road and externally yard based.
  • You will be called upon to drive our Pickup truck to make deliveries to customers in a safe, lawful and professional way.
  • You will be trained and developed in the use of our range of specialist machines and the processes they can apply.
  • You will be asked to undertake a variety of tasks – customer service through the issuing of goods to customers from sales tickets, order picking, stock management through manual rack filling, cutting and processing of materials, housekeeping and as deemed appropriate, forklift duties as appropriate.

Your Skills:

  • Driving License to category C1.
  • Basic literate and numerate ability.
  • Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers.
  • Ability to self-motivate, organise, and execute tasks.
  • Ability to work safely and cleanly.
