Location: Harlow Timber Systems Burton, Hawkins Lane, Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 1PT.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: 7.30am and 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am and 3:45pm Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our team at Harlow Timber Systems Bardon. The role of Production Operative within the company is to ensure that all production roof truss and joist profiles are complete and manufactured to the correct design sheets issued to the team. To ensure that all truss/joist profiles are set out to the correct dimensions and configuration detailed on the engineer sheets. To ensure that all Profiles are complete on time as required by the delivery schedule for that project.

What you’ll be doing as a Truss Operative:

  • Ensuring that all Profile trusses are complete correctly, controlled and monitored with paperwork.
  • Ensuring weekly delivery dates and requirements are achieved as planned with the Production Manager and Supervisor.
  • Be involved in daily/weekly production meetings.
  • Following and adhering to Health & Safety requirements for the business.
  • The monitoring and maintenance of equipment with the Supervisor is maintained.
  • Ensuring that the Production Team for each station has work and products set out to manufacture.
  • Working on your own within a team to meet a production schedule.

Your Skills:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
