Focus on your clinical work - we handle admin and marketing.

We’re looking for an experienced, self-employed Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to practise from our Liverpool Street rooms in the City of London. Many of the practitioners we work with say the same thing: they genuinely enjoy their clinical work, value meaningful therapeutic relationships and want the space to practise thoughtfully, without being distracted by marketing, bookings or ongoing administration. That’s the model we’ve built.

This role tends to suit psychologists looking to build a stable, long-term private practice where they can work relationally and clinically without unnecessary distractions. You will practise independently, maintaining full clinical responsibility, along with your own supervision and professional insurance.

Harley Therapy provides the infrastructure around your practice, including:

  • Centralised marketing and enquiry handling
  • Bookings, payments and insurance administration
  • Day-to-day administrative support

This allows you to focus your time and energy on your therapeutic work.

Applicants will either:

  • Be registered with the HCPC, BPS or UKCP, with a minimum of eight years’ experience (supervised client work),
  • Or be a registered member of the BACP, with a minimum of 15 years’ experience.

NHS experience and longevity in previous roles are preferred.

Earnings:

After room and admin fees, you can expect earnings from £100 per 50-minute session.

Availability:

We currently have space for one full clinic day (8–10 hours) per week, or two 5-hour clinics, including at least one evening (4–9pm). Additional hours may be available, subject to room availability.

Client work:

Referrals are varied with a higher proportion of corporate clients due to the Liverpool Street location. You’ll be confident working with a broad range of presentations, including more complex clinical cases within a psychodynamic or relational framework.

Why practise from Harley Therapy:

  • Well-appointed, professional therapy rooms
  • In-house marketing – no self-promotion required
  • Administrative support six days a week
  • No room fees when you take time off
  • A long-term, stable environment, with many therapists working with us for over 10 years
  • Two relaxed London-based gatherings each year

We tend to attract clinicians who value reflective practice, clear boundaries, and sustained therapeutic work, within a well-established and supportive setting. If this way of working aligns with how you envisage your private practice, we would be very happy to hear from you.
