Registered Nurse (Community & Complex Care)

This is a rewarding role for an experienced nurse who wants autonomy, clinical variety, and the chance to build genuine relationships with patients and families.

This is a community-based role with travel across Northern Ireland. No two days are the same, and every visit makes a genuine difference to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review person‑centred care plans
  • Risk assessments and clinical decision‑making
  • Medication management and prescribing (if qualified)

Complex Care Delivery

  • Tracheostomy and ventilation care
  • PEG feeding and IV therapy
  • Complex wound management
  • Palliative and end‑of‑life care
  • Supervise and mentor care staff
  • Clinical delegation and oversight
  • Competency assessments for carers
  • Support induction of new staff

Governance & Compliance

  • NMC Code of Conduct adherence
  • RQIA standards and inspections
  • Safeguarding and incident reporting
  • Clinical audit and quality improvement

Patient & Family Support

  • Build therapeutic relationships
  • Educate patients and families
  • Coordinate with MDT professionals
  • Advocate for patient needs

Specialist Knowledge

  • Dementia and cognitive care
  • Chronic disease management
  • Health promotion and prevention
  • Active NMC registration (Adult, Mental Health, LD, or Children’s Nursing)
  • Minimum 2 years post‑registration experience
  • Community nursing or domiciliary care experience
  • Complex care competencies (tracheostomy, PEG, IV, ventilation)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prescribing (V100/V150/V300)
  • Palliative care
  • Wound management
  • Dementia specialist
