We are currently recruiting a Utilities Supervisor to join our team.

Harlaxton Engineering Services Ltd is a leading Multi Utility / ICP company and whilst based in Lincolnshire, please note – nationwide travel will be required by the successful candidate in order to fulfil the duties of the role.

The Role

The Utilities Supervisor role is to provide support to the Operations Project Team to efficiently and effectively assist in the delivery of multi utility installations across the UK.

Working as a part of the Project Management Team, you will report directly to the relevant Project Manager. It is expected that the role will be split between 4 days site-based activities and 1 day office based.

Your key role will be to supervise the on-site operational teams and assist our Project Manager’s with utility installations for both residential and commercial projects. Projects can range from full multi utility install (electric, water and gas) to single utility requirement(s).

Key Responsibilities

• Attend ‘face to face’ pre-commencement meetings & re-attend prior to project start to ensure site readiness
• Act as day-to-day contact for both Project Managers and Project Coordinators
• Have operational Supervisor responsibility
• Visit and provide support to on site teams
• Develop a working relationship with various stakeholders including clients, contractors and external authorities
• Ensure regulatory compliance, monitor health & safety and complete team audit

Essential Qualifications & Experience

NRSWA (Supervisor)
Excellent communication skills
Proficient I.T Skills
Full UK driving license

Desired Skills and Experience

CSCS (supervisory Gold card desirable)
Plant operator (desirable)
Health & safety qualification and familiarity with health and safety regulations would be an advantage
Relevant experience of utility installations – required (knowledge of multi utility installations – desirable) – Ideally candidates will have currently or previously worked as a Utility Supervisor although applications are being considered for those with an engineering or civils background.

In return, we offer a competitive basic salary (negotiable based on your knowledge and experience), a company vehicle with fuel card, and access to our pension scheme upon successful completion of a 3-month introductory period. Bupa medical cover is also provided following the completion of a 6-month probationary period.
