Harken Search is recruiting a Construction Quality & Gateway Audit Manager for a London-based SME residential developer. The company delivers high-quality housing—from low-rise to high-rise—focused on design excellence, cost efficiency, and sustainable construction.
This new role ensures construction quality and regulatory compliance, with a focus on Building Safety Regulator (BSR) Gateway submissions and the “Golden Thread” of information.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting construction work for compliance with drawings, regulations, and quality standards
- Auditing QA records and BSR documentation at all build stages
- Supporting site teams in setting up and monitoring Quality Plans
- Verifying material quality and contractor workmanship
- Identifying and managing non-conformances and corrective actions
- Ensuring all inspections, testing, and documentation are complete
- Attending monthly duty holder meetings and signing off BSR hold points
- Ensuring compliance with safety plans and consultant/contractor competency documentation
- Assisting with pre-handover inspections and final acceptance
Essential Experience:
- Residential building regulations and inspection procedures
- Construction materials and methods
- Reading architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Building Safety Act 2022 and Gateway 3 processes
- Document control in construction
- Strong grasp of “Golden Thread” principles
