We are partnering with a North London residential developer to recruit a Technical / Senior Technical Manager to support the delivery of their fire remediation portfolio. The business is responsible for a diverse mix of occupied and unoccupied residential buildings, with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality technical governance.

The Technical / Senior Technical Manager will oversee the design, coordination, and delivery of fire remediation works across a portfolio of residential buildings. Working closely with external fire engineers, façade consultants, building control, and the internal Technical and Construction teams, you will ensure all remediation solutions are compliant, robust, and aligned with programme, budget, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage external consultants producing fire strategies, intrusive surveys, EWS1 assessments, and remediation design packages.
  • Coordinate design information for cladding, façades, compartmentation, and associated structural or building fabric works.
  • Lead technical reviews to ensure proposed solutions meet regulatory standards, including the Building Safety Act, PAS 9980, and updated building regulations.
  • Support the preparation and submission of Building Control applications and liaise with statutory bodies throughout the approval process.
  • Oversee the discharge of planning conditions where façade or external appearance changes are required.
  • Maintain rigorous document control and ensure all design information is accurate, complete, and aligned with construction sequencing.
  • Work closely with the wider Technical and Construction teams to ensure remediation works are deliverable, safe, and coordinated with residents and building management.
  • Provide ongoing technical governance, risk management, and best-value engineering throughout the lifecycle of each remediation project.

Essential experience:

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a construction or engineering-related discipline.
  • Strong background in Technical Management within residential development, main contracting, or façade remediation.
  • Experience working with fire engineers, façade consultants, and Building Control on cladding or fire safety projects.
  • Confident coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and managing complex technical information.
