Harkaye Core Talent is partnering with a highly regarded regional law firm in Northampton to appoint a Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor into its growing Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious NQ who is serious about building a long-term career in employment law within a firm that genuinely invests in its people.

The Opportunity

You will join a well-established and supportive team, working closely with experienced employment partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of matters. The role offers exposure to both contentious and non-contentious employment work, giving you the foundation to develop into a well-rounded employment specialist. From day one, you will be encouraged to take ownership of your work, build client relationships, and develop your commercial understanding, all within a structured and supportive environment.

The Work

  • Advising employers on day-to-day HR and employment issues
  • Supporting on Employment Tribunal matters
  • Drafting contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
  • Assisting on complex and high-value disputes
  • Working directly with clients across a range of sectors
  • Contributing to business development initiatives

About You

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor (or due to qualify shortly)
  • You will have completed a seat in Employment Law, or have gained strong employment law experience as a Paralegal
  • You demonstrate a clear and genuine commitment to building a career in employment law
  • Commercially aware, with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships early in your career
  • Motivated, proactive, and keen to take ownership of your development
