About the Opportunity
HarKaye Core Talent is recruiting for an Industrial Disease Paralegal to support a specialist claimant-focused litigation team in a national firm. This role is ideal for a Paralegal with experience in industrial disease or personal injury claims who is looking to work on meaningful cases supporting clients affected by serious, often life-limiting conditions.
The Role
You will support Solicitors with a caseload of industrial disease claims, assisting clients throughout the litigation process with professionalism and empathy. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the management of industrial disease claims, including asbestos-related conditions
- Drafting correspondence, witness statements, and court documentation
- Gathering and reviewing medical records and employment histories
- Liaising with clients, medical experts, insurers, and third parties
- Assisting with limitation issues and evidence collation
- Maintaining accurate files and ensuring compliance with procedures and deadlines
- Providing high standards of client care to vulnerable clients and families
About You
- Paralegal experience within industrial disease or personal injury
- Good understanding of the litigation process
- Confident dealing with sensitive and complex matters
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be empathetic, professional, and client-focused
- Experience with asbestos-related claims (mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer) or long-tail disease litigation would be highly advantageous.
