Overview
Term: Full time, permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Congleton or Macclesfield
Purpose of the Role
This role involves managing a full and varied caseload of private client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, and Trusts. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality, client-focused service while contributing to the continued growth and development of the Private Client department and the wider firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage private client matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring compliance with all quality, regulatory, and professional standards (including Lexcel and SRA Code of Conduct).
- Deliver excellent client care, maintaining clear communication and professionalism at all times.
- Generate fee income and manage time recording, billing, and cash collection in line with targets.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities and fostering long-term trust.
- Supervise and support colleagues when required, including during absences or holidays.
- Participate in business development, marketing, and networking activities to promote the firm.
- Prepare and manage all documentation using the case management system.
- Ensure all client files (both digital and paper) are maintained, stored, and closed in accordance with firm procedures.
- Attend and contribute to group meetings, supporting the team’s ongoing success.
- Maintain and develop IT, research, and administrative skills essential for modern legal practice.

Experience & Education
