The role
- You’ll take ownership of your own caseload and be trusted to manage matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, with appropriate support from senior colleagues within the family team as and when needed.
- The work is varied and client-facing, and you’ll play an important role in maintaining the high service standards the team is known for.
- Advising clients on private family law matters and guiding them through often sensitive issues with care and clarity.
- Managing the full client lifecycle, from onboarding through to billing and fee management.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation in preparation for hearings.
- Running files in line with regulatory and internal compliance requirements, including file audits.
- Working closely with colleagues to share knowledge and support the wider team.
- Keeping senior lawyers updated on case progress and key developments.
About you
- You will be a solicitor or legal executive (2-4 years+ PQE) who is confident handling straightforward matters independently, but who is also comfortable seeking guidance when dealing with unfamiliar or more complex issues.
- You’re likely to apply sound legal judgement and identify the relevant legal principles in practice.
- Take pride in producing high-quality, accurate work.
- Be approachable, professional and client-focused.
- Enjoy building strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

This is a firm with a strong history and a well-established presence in the market, but with a very modern way of thinking. It’s known for the quality of its people, a genuinely collaborative culture, and a real focus on developing talent at every stage of a career. They take investing in their staff seriously and that’s reflected in the recognition they receive as an employer, both nationally and across the region, as well as long-standing people development accreditations.
