A highly regarded specialist law firm with multiple offices across the UK is seeking a Clinical Negligence Paralegal to join its growing Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious paralegal with at least 12 months' clinical negligence experience who is looking to develop their career within a leading claimant firm. You will gain exposure to a broad range of high-value, complex and life-changing cases, working alongside experienced solicitors and senior lawyers who are recognised experts in their field.
Role
You will support fee earners on a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, including:
- Birth injury claims
- Brain and spinal injury cases
- Amputation claims
- Fatal accident and dependency claims
- Complex delayed diagnosis and treatment claims
- Other high-value and catastrophic injury matters
The firm is known for handling high-quality work and achieving exceptional outcomes for clients who have suffered life-changing injuries. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in cases from inception through to resolution, providing invaluable exposure and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors with the management of clinical negligence files
- Reviewing and analysing medical records
- Preparing chronologies and case summaries
- Liaising with clients, medical experts, counsel and third parties
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents
- Supporting investigations into liability and causation
- Assisting with disclosure and document management
- Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with procedures
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 12 months' clinical negligence paralegal experience
