Job Description
Head of Private Client – Senior Solicitor
A well-established and forward-thinking law firm is seeking an experienced and strategic Private Client Solicitor (8+ PQE) to lead its growing Private Client Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior legal professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for leadership, client service, and business development.
The Role:
- Lead and manage the Private Client team
- Handle a varied caseload of wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, and tax matters
- Provide supervision, training, and mentorship across the department
- Shape and implement departmental strategy aligned with firm-wide goals
- Drive marketing and business development initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 8 years' experience in private client work
- In-depth knowledge of estate planning, trusts, probate, and tax
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience
- STEP qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable
