Harkaye Core Talent is partnering with a respected national law firm offering expert support and strategic legal representation in SEND cases:
- EHC Plan assessments, appeals & annual reviews
- Judicial review proceedings and disability-discrimination claims
- School admission/exclusion appeals, transport issues, and statutory funding challenges
High-stakes, purpose-led caseloads involving children’s education rights in a supportive and collaborative environment, with hybrid working and regular training.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied SEND caseload: tribunal and judicial review work, EHC assessments, discrimination claims
- Advising clients (families, parents, young people) on legal options and rights
- Liaising with schools, local authorities, advocates, and health professionals to deliver comprehensive representation
Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE, ideally with SEND/education law experience
- Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHC Plans, CPR, tribunal procedures
- Excellent advocacy, drafting, and interpersonal skills—especially with vulnerable clients
- Proactive, resilient, and creative—able to challenge established practices while maintaining firm relationships
