Solicitor – Education, SEND & Children’s Rights Location: London (Hybrid) Are you passionate about protecting the rights of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? EHC Plan assessments, appeals & annual reviews Judicial review proceedings and disability-discrimination claims School admission/exclusion appeals , transport issues, and statutory funding challenges High-stakes, purpose-led caseloads involving children’s education rights A supportive and collaborative environment , with hybrid working and regular training Managing a varied SEND caseload: tribunal and judicial review work, EHC assessments, discrimination claims Advising clients (families, parents, young people) on legal options and rights Liaising with schools, local authorities, advocates, and health professionals to deliver comprehensive representation Qualified solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE , ideally with SEND/education law experience Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHC Plans, CPR, tribunal procedures Excellent advocacy, drafting, and interpersonal skills—especially with vulnerable clients Proactive, resilient, and creative—able to challenge established practices while maintaining firm relationships Competitive salary with structured benefits and CPD support Hybrid working model with flexibility around home and London office Opportunity to shape and grow the service offering, with potential for progression and leadership At Harkaye Core Talent , we partner with firms who care deeply about access to justice.
