HarKaye are representing a leading multi-service law firm with an excellent reputation across Derbyshire and the wider East Midlands, who are looking to recruit a Family / Childcare Solicitor or Legal Executive into their busy and supportive Derby team.

The role:
- Manage a varied caseload of family and children running files from instruction through to completion, while working closely with clients and families, local authorities, courts and external professional bodies.
- Be supported by experienced Paralegals and Legal Assistants, allowing you to focus on fee earning and delivering excellent client care.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a caseload of childcare / children law matters end-to-end.
- Handling public law matters, including care proceedings (where experienced).
- Advising and supporting clients through sensitive and complex issues.
- Drafting legal documents and preparing matters for hearings.
- Liaising with local authorities and other relevant bodies.
- Ensuring high standards of client care and communication throughout.
About you:
- Qualified Family Solicitor or Legal Executive (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in children matters (public law / care proceedings preferred).
- Confident managing your own caseload.
- Strong communication and client care skills.
- Professional, empathetic and calm under pressure.
