A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to welcome a Child Care or Family Lawyer to join its supportive and experienced Care team. This role offers flexibility on location, with the option to be based in Doncaster to work on a hybrid basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in child care, family legal aid and/or domestic abuse work who is looking to develop their career within a busy team that is genuinely passionate about the work it does.
The Role
- You will manage your own varied caseload of public and private family law matters, including care proceedings and domestic abuse cases.
- The role involves regular client contact, advocacy where appropriate, and close collaboration with local authorities, social workers, and other professionals.
- Compassionate, clear advice and strong client care are at the heart of this position.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or Lawyer at any level (NQ to experienced / panel level).
- Experience in child care, family legal aid and/or domestic abuse matters.
- Comfortable managing your own caseload, with support available when needed.
- Advocacy experience or a genuine interest in developing advocacy skills.
- Client-focused, empathetic, and professional in approach.
- LAA Supervisor or Children Panel membership desirable but not essential.
- Willing to apply for Children Panel membership if not already a member.
- Open to engaging in local networking and relationship-building with referrers.
