An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a highly regarded, specialist Public Law team recognised for its work across education, health, social care, and human rights. The successful candidate will support a specialist team handling Court of Protection matters, specialising in either Health & Welfare or Property & Affairs. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive, collaborative environment where people genuinely enjoy working together to make a difference. Hybrid working is available, with a focus on remote first and occasional office attendance required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist fee earners with their caseloads within the Court of Protection team.
  • Draft correspondence and prepare court documents.
  • Liaise with clients (including vulnerable individuals), case managers, and other professionals.
  • Support new client enquiries and maintain accurate internal records.
  • Manage calls and casework efficiently, ensuring excellent client service.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures and relevant legal developments.
  • Assist with billing and general administrative support.
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Law degree or equivalent legal qualification (LPC/PGDL).
  • Able to articulate relevant experience or strong interest in areas such as Legal Aid and the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently to deliver results.
  • Strong ability to prioritise, manage workloads, and work to deadlines.
  • Highly organised with strong written communication and attention to detail.
